Taylor Creek cabins are 8 miles from Ruedi Reservoir, a local mecca for water sports in the warmer months. There is a marina used extensively for local yachting enthusiasts. There are a number of camping areas. Water skiing and lake fishing are also popular activities. The Lake is 6 miles long.

Ruedi Reservoir boasts 997 acres of water for recreation and is proximate to the White River National forest. It is one of the largest bodies of water in Western Colorado.

The reservoir is easily accessible via the paved Frying Pan road. During the warmer months, the reservoir accommodates boating, yachting, water skiing, fishing and swimming.
